Here at Ken Neyer Plumbing, we\u2019re a proud supporter of the Western & Southern Open<\/a>, the major tennis tournament that takes place this year in Cincinnati from August 13th to the 21st. But we\u2019re more than just supporters: for the last 15 years, we\u2019ve partnered with Cincytennis to provide the vital commercial plumbing services that the tournament requires to be a success. According to Jim Neyer, our president, \u201cIt\u2019s more of partnership. They [Cincytennis] rely on us to provide a great service to them, and it means a lot to us that they\u2019ve been such as long-term customer.\u201d<\/p>\n

The work that our plumbers do for the tournament is extensive: the event is played at the Lidner Family Tennis Center in Mason, OH and covers a total 16 courts in four stadiums. This is the only venue other than the Grand Slams that can boast of more than two permanent stadiums.<\/p>\n

Although our plumbers handle an enormous amount of work for the tournament, most of it remains behind the scenes where it purposely won\u2019t draw the attention of spectators. That still doesn\u2019t affect the satisfaction this job brings to our team of commercial plumbing professionals. \u201cWhether anybody recognizes you or not, you\u2019re still a part of this event,\u201d says Dave Cullen, one of our expert service plumbers. \u201cAnd it\u2019s not just a tennis tournament. It\u2019s an event<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n

It\u2019s an event with a long history. It started in 1899, and is the oldest tennis tournament in the U.S. that is still played in its original city. Currently, the Western & Southern Open is the second largest tennis event in the nation after the U.S. Open.<\/p>\n
