The sewer line is a part of your home that you cannot normally see, and which you therefore won’t think much about. But this pipeline does an essential job for your household, since it carries the collected waste water and solid waste from the house out to the municipal sewer system in the center of the street (or to a septic tank for homes that don’t have access to the municipal sewer system). Although this line is built to be durable, older pipe material can start to wear down over time, and even newer pipes can suffer damage from shifting ground and root infiltration.
